I love John's newer stuff, don't get me wrong. But every now and then, I find myself going back to some of his older stuff. This song in particular: Why Georgia. Such a long, long time ago.
What are your favorite old-time John songs? Comment and let's share. :)

i totally agree. John's newer songs are awesome in every way but his old work gives you that nostalgic and cosy feeling..
my favourite song is 3x5, just love that song..
home life.. covered in rain.. clarity.. split screen sadness.. wheel.. bigger than my body..
all great songs!
city love. clarity. bigger than my body. split screen sadness. come back to bed.
I definitely, definitely agree. Although I love his newer albums, Room For Squares would have to be my most favourite. He rarely plays his acoustic-pop side anymore ever since he pretty much changed a little bit to the blues genre.
No Such Thing, Quiet, Back To You, Neon, City Love, Covered in Rain, Hummingbird, Love Song For No One, 3x5, St. Patrick's Day... Love them the most! As lame as this sounds, I get teary-eyed every time my iPod surprises me with these songs from shuffle. LOL! Seriously. :p
ohh, quiet, yes! i love that one, it is definitely one that pulls me into thoughtful mode.
"Quiet" used to put me into bed when I have trouble sleeping. Everytime I listen to it now, I get very nostalgic. You know, 'cos I'm so emo that way, LOL. ;)
